Śakaṭa-yantra (cart yantra) is an astronomical instrument used in early Indian astronomy.

It is one of Lalla's 12 instruments of astronomy[1].

It has two tubes, one you point at the śaṅka and one you point at the Sun. It would help you find the sun's altitude. [2]
