Bhagaṇa-yantra was an instrument used by early Indian astronomers. [1]

It is one of Lalla's 12 instruments of astronomy.[2] and could be used to measure bhagaṇa.

Lalla described it as a sort of cakra-yantra (circle instrument) with a modified graduation based on the oblique ascensions of the Signs. It could then be used to find the degrees that the Sun had travelled after daybreak. [1]
